Spec industrial development moves forward in Mesa

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board has approved plans for a new industrial development at Elliot Road and 96th Place.

Mesa Growth Properties LLC (an arm of the Park Corp. of Cleveland) wants to build two new speculative light industrial buildings totalling more than 266,204 square feet.

One building will total 125,303 square feet while the other is slated to be 140,901 square feet.

The property sits on 16.4 acres and is currently undeveloped, according to city documents. The parcels are zoned for industrial use.

The project is called the Kitchell Business Park.

The zoning board approved the plans at its March 9 meeting.

The proposal now goes to the Mesa City Council for final approvals.
