QC approves project funds for Frontier Family Park

Queen Creek’s newest park will proceed as planned.

Queen Creek Town Council on July 20 voted 4-1 to begin development of the $66.4 million Frontier Family Park, located near Ryan and Signal Butte Road.

Councilwoman Leah Martineau represented the lone vote against the project.

“I believe we spent too much money on that park, and the aquatic center and multi-generation center,” she said.

On June 1, the town approved $1 million to guarantee certain construction timeframe commitments and adds to a total project cost of $67.4 million.
