Jeff Serdy was unanimously named chairman of the Pinal County Board of Supervisors during the Dec. 14 board meeting. Serdy, who lives in Apache Junction, represents District 5.
His term begins Jan. 1, 2023, and runs through Dec. 31.
Jeffrey McClure, whose District 4 includes Maricopa, was unanimously selected vice chair. Serdy and McClure are swapping roles from 2022 when McClure was chair and Serdy vice chair.
“I would like to thank my colleagues for choosing me . . . and I look forward to building on the solid progress we have made as a board over the past two years,” Serdy said.
“With our continued growth, it is an exciting time to be in Pinal County, but we have our challenges, most notably around transportation and water. I look forward to leading the board on these issues, amongst others, as we continue to work in the best interests of the entire Pinal County community.”
