Buckeye City Council considers future housing site

By Frank Espinoza | YourValley

Buckeye City Council took action on Tuesday night to approve a future Tartesso West High School and future multifamily housing.

The first item on the agenda was the Tartesso West High School site subdivision at the southwest corner of Thomas Road and 303rd Avenue, within the Tartesso West community master plan.

The subdivision will dedicate land for a future high school developed by HilgartWilson LLC.

According to council documents, changes created by this include: extending the Thomas Road public right of way to the west with termination at 307th Avenue; re-aligning a portion of the existing Celeborn Drive further west to create a larger parcel for the proposed high school site; abandonment of a portion of the existing right-of-way and associated easements for Celeborn Drive south of Thomas Road; abandonment of Encanto Drive and associated easements between Celeborn Drive and 303rd Avenue; and dedication of new Celeborn Drive public right of way and associated easements adjacent to the proposed high school site.
