Valley Mexican food chain plans to build its own restaurants

Mesquite Fresh Street Mex, a growing Phoenix-based restaurant chain, has added a development arm to its company so it can have full control of its growth going forward.

In less than a decade, Mesquite grew from one location in Old Town Scottsdale, to nearly 10 all over the Valley. Most recently the company has started opening smaller locations with a focus on drive-thru. After opening several of those, the company’s co-founder told the Business Journal he’s ready to do it all in house.
