Valley luxury homebuilders find customers have varied concerns, expectations

Concerns about Phoenix-area water supplies have been much in the news of late, but the focus has been on outlying areas and not the luxury neighborhoods where the Valley’s most successful custom home builders ply their trades. While customers may call with concerns, it’s the details of the home that the builders are concerned about.

In surveying for the Phoenix Business Journal’s annual Custom Home Builders list, we posed a few optional questions for the firms’ executives. One asked, “Does water availability affect the luxury home market in wealthy enclaves such as Paradise Valley and Scottsdale, and if so, how?”
