Father of cannabis law, Ryan Hurley, returns to Rose Law Group

Rose Law Group, 7144 E. Stetson Drive, Suite 300, has announced the return of Ryan Hurley, chairman of the Cannabis Department, working in the area of Web3, AI and technological innovation.

Hurley has been involved in Arizona cannabis business and law since its inception. His original involvement began during the medical marijuana statewide ballot initiative in 2009, at Rose Law Group as the firm was the first in Arizona to build a legal department focused on the developing area of cannabis law.

Hurley represented clients in helping to shape the statewide initiative, implement it and the rules adopted around it, assist with licenses and advising business owners in the plethora of regulatory and legal issues relating to operating cannabis businesses. He spent the last seven years as general counsel to one of the largest cannabis growers in the country. His role involved managing overall company compliance, HR/employment issues, contracting, capital and debt raises, mergers/acquisitions/dispositions, joint ventures and special projects.
