Reboot of iconic Phoenix mall is underway

After giving Phoenix residents a place to create long-lasting memories shopping, dining and playing over the past 50 years, the iconic Metrocenter mall is ready for its next life.

Developers started tearing down the walls of the shopping center on Nov. 18 with a ceremony to kickstart the $850 million rebirth of the Phoenix property into the largest transit oriented development in the region.
