A developer’s request to make changes to an apartment project near Higley and Warner roads is scheduled to go before the Gilbert Town Council on June 10.

The project, called Tuscany at Gabriella Pointe, is part of a large 760-unit apartment complex under construction on Warner Road between Higley and Recker roads.

The developer wants to make changes to the west side of the property by giving ground-floor residents extended private yards.

These new yards would take away from the common open space that was originally meant to be shared by everyone in the community. The changes would include adding 4-foot fences and removing landscaping in those areas.

Gilbert staff is recommending council deny the request.
