The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board voted to recommend the city council approve the rezoning of the area of 623 S. Mesa Drive to create a series of townhomes at their recent meeting.

The vote passed 5-0 with boardmembers Benjamin Ayers and Genessee Montes absent during the Nov. 12 meeting.

The board discussed whether to rezone an area from multiple residence 2 to multiple residence-4 with a bonus intensity zone overlay to make a site plan review for a 15-unit multiple townhome development. The application was made by Tim Boyle of Atmosphere Architects on behalf of site owner 623 S Mesa LLC.
