Price says Maricopa council will discuss future of recreational marijuana

MARICOPA — The votes are in and Proposition 207 is poised to become law. As of publication, 60% of Arizona voters said “yes” to the measure, which would legalize recreational marijuana for adults who are at least 21.

Now it is up to local cities and towns to figure out how best to move forward with the legalization scheduled to take effect on Nov. 30.

Some municipalities in Arizona have already created measures to stop parts of this proposition from taking effect in their jurisdictions, like the town of Gilbert.
