A state road project essential for Peoria growth could help silence critics who once thought officials missed develop opportunities by allowing too much residential housing along Loop 101.
The new Arizona Department of Transportation project, which will widen Loop 303, is sure to attract new retailers on the northern and southern ends of the roadway, according to Chris Jacques, planning director for the city of Peoria.
Mr. Jacques said Loop 303 represents future growth and officials intend to “make good use” of vacant land on both ends of the roadway.
