With residential home inventory steadily depleting and values on the rise, confidence in the real estate market looks like it has begun to return.
“We are definitely beginning to see a different perception from real estate professionals who are getting into the business,” said Judy Lowe, commissioner for the Arizona Department of Real Estate.
Lowe said the average monthly number of new real estate licensees for the nearly ended 2013 fiscal year was up over the previous year.
“In all of fiscal 2012 we only saw 255 new licensees a month coming in for new licenses,” Lowe said.
To date in the current fiscal year, an average of 322 people are granted real estate licenses, she said.
Local real estate schools also have seen the increased interest.
