Summary

Arizona Solar Energy Industries Association (AriSEIA) is currently seeking a well-qualified individual for a position with the group as the Director of Operations. Currently, due to Arizona’s abundant sunshine and supportive policies, the state is recognized as the #2 solar market in the nation. Given this strong solar market, this position presents a rewarding career opportunity to spend time with leaders in the solar industry in Arizona and at the national level. Additionally it will allow the right candidate to directly guide and influence policy decisions that will have direct impacts on Arizona’s energy and economic future.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Membership

  •   Organize various membership meetings
  •   Communicate AriSEIA activities and policy developments to membership
  •   Maintain website and outreach materials
  •   Grow membership base

    Policy

  •   Develop relationships with policy makers as well as utility, national and state organizations involved in solar
  •   Monitor and analyze policy and regulatory developments
  •   Draft positions, editorials, and testimonies for internal and external use.

    Operations

  •   Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
  •   Develop and manage annual budget
  •   Manage various organizational filings
  •   Provide ongoing financial reports
  •   Grow and diversify organizational revenue
  •   Administer AriSEIA programs
  •   Oversee interns
  •   Other organizational duties and task as assigned

Skills, Experience & Essential Qualities:

  •   Leadership drive to grow membership and regional presence
  •   Basic knowledge & understanding of solar policy framework
  •   Strong interpersonal & communication skills
  •   Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
  •   Ability to be self-directed in accomplishing work responsibilities
  •   Excitement for working at the state level in a policy position
  •   Comfort working for modest base salary, with tremendous potential for upside bonuses

    based on membership growth and fundraising accomplishments

  •   College degree or equivalent work experience

    Compensation:

    Salary commensurate with experience. Performance based bonuses add to the upside potential of this position.
