Before the unfortunate market downturn that the nation experienced in 2008 Pinal County was the fastest growing county in the nation. The Town of Florence is the County seat. Pulte/Del Webb has been active in the Florence market since early 2006 in their Anthem at Merrill Ranch project, and recently we have seen other builders joining them in the first new market activity since 2008. Pulte is continuing to sell, and LGI Homes recently opened at Magma Ranch. DR Horton has re-opened at Iron horse at Magic Ranch as well as Villas at Magic Ranch.
President of Belfiore Real Estate Consulting, Jim Belfiore, says that “interest in Florence is growing and will continue to do so. We expect several new communities to open in the market area over the next eighteen months, as homebuyers re-enter the housing market.”
The W P Carey School of Business’s monthly housing report for June shows that newly built single family homes in Pinal county increased 87% in April 2013 when compared to April 2012 (read the full report here).
