A residence built in the 1950s atop Camelback Mountain on 24 acres known affectionately by neighbors as the Merry Christmas House is listed for $24 million.
The home at 5500 N. Dromedary Road in Phoenix acquired its Yuletide nickname because the family would hang 10-foot tall Merry Christmas light-up signs from the property’s cliff during the Christmas season and a Happy New Year sign in January. Drivers along Camelback and Indian School roads anywhere between 32nd and 68th streets could see the displays, said Rebecca Clayton Hoyt of Retsy | Forbes Global Properties.
