Senate passes 8 bills before slinking off to budget negotiations and Memorial Day weekend

By Jordan Gerard | State Affairs

Keeping some work on their plate, the Senate passed eight House Republican bills on Monday, all on bipartisan votes.

The Senate will meet again on May 26, after a week of budget negotiations and scattering for Memorial Day weekend.

Six Senators were absent on Monday, so all votes were counted as 24-0-6.

The bills will either head back to the House for final approval or to the governor’s desk for her signature or veto stamp.
