Little America’s massive expansion plans are heading to the Flagstaff City Council Tuesday with a vote of confidence from the city planning and zoning commission.
The panel, consisting of citizen volunteers, voted 5-2 Wednesday in favor of a change to the Flagstaff Regional Plan to accommodate a new golf course, 1,400 houses, a shopping center and a second hotel.
Commissioners Jim McCarthy and Paul Moore voted against the recommendation.
The proposed development is 537 acres located south of East Butler Avenue and east of Interstate 40, and it includes the 32-acre existing Little America hotel site.
