Glendale City Council approved the transfer of a 12,440-square-foot piece of land located at 103rd Avenue, ¼ mile north of Northern Avenue, to Peoria for the widening of 103rd Avenue.

The property was used as the old Glendale landfill from 1966 to 1969. Glendale acquired the 22-acre parcel in 1993 and has been maintaining the property and its easements.

The City of Peoria needs the land to widen 103rd Avenue. The entire cost of the widening project is being paid for by the City of Peoria.
