Oro Valley gets community center, golf course in Tucson El Conquistador resort deal

HiltonTucsonElConquistadorGolfandTennisResort_fsa-gThe 383-acre Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort has sold for $15 million, and the new owner plans to spend another $16 million renovating the hotel built in 1982, reports the Arizona Republic.

Tucson-based HSL Properties bought the property from New York-based MetLife.

HSL plans to sell the resort’s country club and 45-hole golf course to Oro Valley, a suburb of Tucson. Oro Valley intends to turn the country club into a community center and hire a firm to manage the golf course, reports The Republic.
