About 40 people attended the July 17 meeting of the Community and Recreation Services Commission to express their concerns about the Surprise Farms Park and, most notably, plans for a dog park across from neighborhood homes.
During an emotional and opinionated two-hour discussion, representatives from the city, including commission Director Mark Coronado, talked about plans to invigorate the neighborhood with the dog park, playgrounds, a skate park and a splash pad in the area of Saguaro Lane and 175th Avenue.
