[LETTER TO THE EDITOR] Florence Copper presents a danger

Those of us who live in Arizona know that water is one of our most precious resources; without it our communities will wither and die. The Florence Copper Project threatens the town of Florence’s drinking water aquifer and that is the primary reason many of us oppose its operation. The area adjacent to the proposed site is our point of concern. This area is in direct communication with the drinking water aquifer, which means that there isn’t anything to block the injected solutions and resulting contamination.
