“Vicki won. The recall is off the ballot.”
Those were the words of election law attorney Andrew Gordon, who represented Acacia district Councilmember Vicki Hunt in court to challenge the validity of petitions circulated to recall her.
Superior Court Judge Lori Horn Bustamante ruled July 7 that recall petitions circulated by Rafael Rivero in an effort by a group to force an election and remove Hunt from office were not in compliance with the law.
Gordon said there were two issues.
