Most at meeting against San Tan becoming a city

Most of the San Tan Valley residents attending a public meeting last week are opposed to the community becoming a city.

But those who would like to see a vote on the matter are undeterred.

More than 200 people came to American Leadership Academy Ironwood Campus in response to an invitation from state Sen. David Farnsworth, R-Mesa, to discuss issues surrounding the question of whether the community should form a city.
