District receives third offer to sell its offices

Moving ever closer to answering taxpayers’ wishes from two years ago, the Prescott Unified School Board unanimously voted Tuesday night to accept its third sale offer on the district’s downtown office.
In addition, the board voted to modify its sale contract with Ironline Partners in Phoenix for the purchase of the former Miller Valley Elementary School, with the closing expected to occur on Friday.
Though most of the details must remain confidential until the close of escrow, Superintendent Joe Howard was able to reveal that the latest offer for the district office building on South Granite Street is from a Prescott downtown business operating under the moniker Zeezee LLC.
He reiterated his confidence that the district offices, despite some challenges that come with a building of its vintage located next to Granite Creek, is a prime location for the right buyer. He thinks the fact that this offer comes from a local buyer may assure that this deal does not collapse as did the two previous ones.
