Opinion: Arizona’s resident white nationalist has been banned from Humboldt schools. But he’s still welcome at the state Capitol./ (Editor’s note: Opinion pieces are published for discussions purposes only.)
State Rep. David Stringer may be welcome in the Legislature but he’s persona non grata in some northern Arizona schools.
Humboldt Unified School District officials on Wednesday notified administrators and staff that Stringer “can no longer be welcomed on any of our school campuses or permitted to participate in any school-related functions.”
“It is terribly disappointing and disheartening for us in the Humboldt Unified School District that someone with such an out of touch perspective on reality is part of any decision-making process that will have an impact on all of our students,” wrote Superintendent David Streeter and school board President Richard Adler.
Humboldt, with 5,700 students, is the largest school district in Stringer’s legislative district.
