Arizona Sen. Carl Hayden’s chair stolen from Phoenix storage unit

Where in the world is the late U.S. Sen. Carl Hayden’s chair?

“On September 9, 2018, several storage units were broken into near 40th Street and McDowell Road,” says Phoenix Police Sgt. Jamie Rothschild.

Among the items that were taken was a custom-made, leather-upholstered, mahogany arm chair that was in Hayden’s office when he served as a senator.

Rothschild says, “We think maybe the chair was given to someone or sold to someone and they don’t recognize, truly, how valuable this item is.”
