First phase of I-11 plan ready for public comment; hearing planned in Casa Grande

Maricopa Monitor

A public hearing is planned for next month in Casa Grande on the recently completed environmental impact study draft for the proposed Interstate 11 corridor that would bisect Pinal County.

The Tier 1 draft for the 280-mile I-11 corridor — stretching from Nogales, Arizona, to Wickenburg — is now available for review and comment. After three years of study, technical analysis and input from communities and stakeholders, the plan now moves to the public comment phase.

The public can review and comment on the document through May 31. The document can be viewed at www.i11study.com/Arizona. The website also lists locations throughout the study area where printed copies are available for review.
