By Paulina Pineda | Arizona Republic

Applications are now open to own one of 13 tiny homes in Tempe’s new Micro Estates community.

Applications are available online on Newtown Community Development Corporation’s website and can be submitted in person between 10:30 a.m. and noon Sept. 7 at the Tempe Public Library.

After that, applications will be accepted by Newtown, which is building the homes, during normal business hours beginning Sept. 9 in person or by email.

Along with a completed application form, applicants must pay a $40 non-refundable application fee. The fee can be paid in cash or with a check or money order.
