The city of Scottsdale has named Rob Millar as its economic development director after he had been serving as the interim director for more than a year.
The city announced Millar’s appointment on its LinkedIn page Tuesday, adding that the city had completed a “national” search before making the final selection.
“Mr. Millar has served as the acting director since August 2018, and prior to that time served as the department’s business attraction manager,” the city announcement said. “With over 12 years of economic development experience, Mr. Millar has been instrumental in driving significant economic development impact initiatives to the city of Scottsdale and has been active in the recruitment and expansion of some of Scottsdale’s leading companies.”
