Arizona water leaders confer with Colorado River states on drought contingency plan

Arizona is taking the lead on a series of high-level negotiations to stabilize Lake Mead and protect the state against losing water in the continuing drought.

Department of Water Resources Director Tom Buschatzke is meeting with other Colorado River system users in Las Vegas at the annual Colorado River Water User Association Conference running through Dec. 16.
