Development is rampant in Maricopa, and there are as many opinions about it as there are rooftops being added to the city. One thing is certain — we are on the verge of a population and housing wave unlike any other ever seen in the city.
Based solely on projects that have already submitted documents to the city to begin the development process, Maricopa is looking at 20,618 new homes and potentially almost 54,000 new residents in the next five years or so. That would take the city’s population to right around 125,000.
