Dignitaries gather for Southwest Valley updates

The Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce hosted an annual city update breakfast at the Goodyear Recreation Center on Feb. 24.

About 80 local city officials, business leaders and representatives gathered to hear updates on Tolleson, Litchfield Park and Goodyear’s planned growth, incoming businesses and city developments that are in progress.

Tolleson City Manager Reyes Medrano kicked off the presentation, giving an update on the city of just over 7,000 residents.

One of Tolleson’s largest projects is its under-construction civic center at 9055 W. Van Buren Street. Once completed, the $22 million facility will be home to Tolleson’s city hall, library and senior center.
