Apartment boom reshapes Pinal County landscape

The number of apartment units in the city of Maricopa has “exploded” recently, mirroring a wider trend in Pinal County, according to county leaders who spoke at the Business Journal’s Pinal County Growth Summit on Aug. 14.

The increase in multifamily units is on the front burner for Pinal County economic development officials as its population rapidly nears 500,000 and its leaders tout landing major manufacturing development, including Queen Creek’s LG Energy Solution plant and Lucid Motors’ presence in Casa Grandeand Coolidge.
